Well Psychological Astrology, is not focused purely on prediction being based predominantly on the belief in one's free will and choice. " Psychological" or "archetypal" astrology, the ancient planetary “map of the soul” is looked at through the lens of depth psychology as pioneered by the 20th century Swiss psychiatrist Dr. Carl G. Jung. Jung showed great courage in his investigation of astrology as it was considered to be "taboo", but Jung believed it necessary to explore certain taboos in order to gain a better understanding of the psyche. It's known that, when challenged by an especially perplexing case, Jung would arrange to have the patient's birth chart cast in order to gain more insight into the individual. Jung went on to state: - "I must say that I very often found that the astrological data elucidated certain points which I otherwise would have been unable to understand. I dare say that we shall one day discover in astrology a good deal of knowledge that has been intuitively projected into the heavens. For instance, it appears that the signs of the zodiac are character pictures, in other words symbols which depict the typical qualities of the libido at a given moment." - C. G. Jung Unfortunately, most people judge Astrology in relation to what they know about "Sun Sign" astrology, which includes the daily horoscope columns, zodiac sign descriptions, and tabloid predictions. But, "Sun Sign" astrology is only very general. Your true Birth Chart is unique to only you; and is a symbolic snapshot of your unique fingerprint, your star print in the Cosmos. For specific and individual guidance, an astrologer must calculate the full details of your distinctive 'only one of its kind' horoscope; which is based on calculations involving the date, the place and the approximate time of your birth. Most importantly, astrology is not a religion, or a system of faith, it is purely a symbolic language and a universal way to connect with nature, the cosmos and the intrinsic cycles of life. Through triumph and trials of adversity, the deeply reflective symbolism connected with the mystical arts inevitably mirrors back to us what it is we need to learn in order to grow and realise our true potential.
