AQUARIUS Jan 20th - Feb 19 According to the Greek mythology, the constellation of Aquarius was attributed to the (Ganymede). Ganymede was very handsome and the story goes that he was abducted by Zeus (Jupiter) in the form of an eagle to serve as immortal cupbearer to the gods. Zeus set Ganymede's image among the stars as the constellation Aquarius, the water carrier. Fittingly the moon of Jupiter discovered by Galileo is named after Ganymede and the astrological symbol for Aquarius represents waves or ripples of water. Aquarian Sun Signs are the ‘visionaries’ of the zodiac and are humanitarian, independent, open-minded and kind-hearted. Be assured that Aquarians are unique, unconventional individuals. Aquarians demonstrate a peculiar combination of both cool reason and unpredictability. Full of surprises and contradictions, even the Aquarian symbol the ‘water-bearer’, who pours forth running water (life –force) to mankind from the universal chalice is misleading, for Aquarius is not an emotional ‘water sign’ but instead an intellectual ‘air sign’. Aquarians will certainly keep you on your toes and that’s because most of the time you’ll be straining to visit the place most Aquarians live; up there in the air, in the clouds, in tomorrow- land. They may seem absent-minded but the opposite is true, they are not just misty dreamers. The Aquarian mind is Progressive indeed avant-garde, inquiring, observant, headstrong and sometimes radical and revolutionary. It is not surprising that many Aquarians feel misunderstood - ...they are. To understand what it is like to be an Aquarian, you must imagine what it is like to live your life with an internal invisible radar- detector. They truly have an almost eerie ability to receive from the atmosphere flashes of precognition. As they live in the future, it is difficult for them to communicate these mystical secrets. Nevertheless, they are usually compelled to express their uncanny foresight and this is how they have gained a reputation for eccentricity. So many brilliant scientists, inventors, composers, writers and more have been born under this star, their genius often unrecognised at first light. Aquarians are sociable souls and can be the best of friends. They are genuinely interested in people but do not like the intensely emotional approach. Too much soppy emotion can be uncomfortable for them, as this sign prefers to live in the world of ideas. Yet, Aquarians themselves are quite vulnerable emotionally, deeply sensitive and infinitely capable of deep loyalty and devotion. Aquarians especially require love and tranquility in order to be launched towards the place where their dreams can be made real. Believe in them, for what they tell you is likely to come true. Try to understand them and you will have the extraordinary opportunity to observe their amazingly progressive and prophetic predictions first hand. Yes, they may even, try to invent a new gadget that will transport them over the rainbow and back. And we all know what lies over the rainbow. You, don’t believe?
